Add drop-down for filter on Categories or Tags

I am creating a Posts page where all our member Districts are being asked to provide information. I was hoping to create a filter by District name (on either a Tag or Category), but since that's roughly 170 Districts, all those blocky labels would take up most of the top of the page, where I would want the tool to show. Having it appear as a drop-down menu that was alphabetical would be awesome!

I agree with this - I have too many tags and categories to be able to use that part of the search option unless there is a drop-down. With the current setup, I can only use the keyword option.  Thank you for considering.  This would be a huge help for my site users.

Thanks for all the votes on this. There is good news and bad news, good news is that this is possible already, we actually have it in place on our examples board here:

The bad news is that it does have to be coded in by a designer to your site, which means there is a design charge to add this.

If this is something you are interested in adding to your site, you can reach out to support or your client success manager.

For those of you that want to wait, it would be a nice option to have in the module, we will look at how much time it will take to develop into Composer.

This would allow us to use the tag feature. There are so many tags that take up the page that it is not worth the effort to use the element. I just removed it all together. If there was a drop down menu/search bar it would be great! So that when you click in the search bar you would see the drop down menu and be able to select all that apply as well as start to type and have the field auto populate with available tags.
